Our Mission

We honor the fullness of each person’s story—the joys, the struggles, the intersections of identity, culture, and lived experience.

Transcend Therapy is not just a space to vent—it is a space to gain insight, shift unhelpful ways of thinking, become more decisive, set firmer boundaries, discover new ways to cope, all while being seen, understood, and held.

Our Approach

You will be met with empathy, curiosity, and respect. Whether you are exploring your identity, healing from old wounds, or learning new ways to connect with yourself and others, we are committed to guiding you toward meaningful, sustainable change.

At Transcend Therapy, we believe in Transcending beyond Therapy. Healing is not about erasing your pain, but about learning to move through it with understanding, courage, clarity, and care.

Transcend Therapy is a catalyst to change, a start to transcending your past and taking ownership of your future.

Growing up, I was introduced to adversity at a fairly young age. The loss of a parent reshaped my world in ways I didn’t yet have language for, and sadness, anger, uncertainty, and fear became quiet companions. Questions about my identity surfaced, but there wasn’t a safe place to explore them — so I learned to move forward anyway: to be strong, to be dependable, to figure it out. From the outside, I was navigating life with what some would call great success. Internally, I was unsettled, overwhelmed, lost, and carrying it alone.

Surviving

Strength carried me through, but it never taught me how to rise above — how to transcend. Being “the strong one” came at a cost: I mastered survival, but became much less familiar with thriving. What I longed for, though I couldn’t name it at the time, was safety and the permission to be myself — a space without judgment, and someone steady enough to help me slow down and untangle what felt overwhelming.

Transcend Therapy was born from that longing.

Thriving

I believe healing happens when we’re given the security to explore the most vulnerable parts of ourselves — shaped by loss, identity, responsibility, and systemic stress — without being rushed, minimized, or told we’re being “too sensitive.” Transcend Therapy is about fostering the space I once needed: thoughtful, calm, safe and cared for. Not because pain disappears, but because with the right support it doesn’t have to define us.

No one should have to carry it alone.

Our Approach

A deeper, more intentional approach to therapy

At Transcend Therapy, our approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you truly understand yourself—not just manage symptoms.

We provide therapy through a culturally affirming psychodynamic lens. We recognize that your past, upbringing, and identities shape how you show up in the world — and how the world perceives you. This approach explores deep-rooted aspects of yourself, including attachment patterns, interpersonal challenges, personality dynamics, and ongoing life patterns.

We also integrate practical, solution-focused approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to address your current challenges. By combining depth-oriented exploration with practical strategies, we help clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and sustainable change.

Surviving

Growing up, I was introduced to adversity at a fairly young age.

The loss of a parent reshaped my world in ways I didn’t yet have language for.

Sadness, anger, uncertainty, and fear became quiet companions.

Questions about my identity surfaced, but there wasn’t a safe place to explore them.

I learned to move forward anyway.

To be strong.

To be dependable.

To figure it out.

From the outside, I was navigating life, some would say with great success.

Internally, I was unsettled, overwhelmed, lost, and carrying it alone.

Strength carried me through, but it never taught me how to rise above, how to transcend.

Being “the strong one” came at a cost — I mastered survival, but became much less familiar with thriving.

Thriving

What I longed for — though I couldn’t name it at the time — was safety and the permission to be myself.

A space without judgment.

Someone steady enough to help me slow down and untangle what felt overwhelming.

I needed room to understand who I was outside of survival and adversity.

Transcend Therapy was born from that longing.

I believe healing happens when we’re given the security to explore the most vulnerable parts of ourselves shaped by loss, identity, responsibility, and systemic stress — without being rushed, minimized, or told we’re being “too sensitive” or “always complaining.”

Transcend Therapy is about fostering the space I once needed: thoughtful, calm, safe & cared for.

Not because pain disappears.

But because with the right support, it doesn’t have to define us & we can transcend beyond it.

No one should have to carry it alone.

Beyond the Practice
Commitment to Community Mental Health

Before establishing Transcend Therapy, Jaimee dedicated over a decade to nonprofit community mental health work in Boston, where she gained invaluable experience addressing the needs of marginalized populations. This work has profoundly shaped her approach to therapy, emphasizing compassion, resilience, and systemic advocacy.

Jaimee still works closely with women experiencing severe mental health challenges, offering trauma-informed care and holistic support through clinically leading and supporting shelters, fostering safe and dignified environments for those in crisis.

Jaimee is deeply involved in ensuring culturally sensitive care through addressing the unique challenges faced by minority populations, including housing instability, mental health barriers, and systemic inequities.

A Vision for Systemic Change

True change begins with understanding and dismantling systemic oppression. Through her work, she has sought to amplify the voices of those often unheard, advocating for equitable access to mental health services, housing and many other community resources.

Advocating for Policy Reform: Beyond direct service, she contributes to efforts aimed at reforming housing policies, increasing funding for shelters and mental health services, and ensuring vulnerable populations are treated with dignity and respect.

Collaborating for Impact: Jaimee currently partners with state agencies and community organizations to develop innovative, client-centered solutions.

This vision continues to guide her practice, where she strives to not only provide exceptional care but also to contribute to a broader movement for equity and justice in mental health and housing services.
